ARTISTIC MINISTRY IS AS ADDICTING AS CRACK COCAINE
(It's not the time to Sugar coated the truth in 2018)
An addiction to applause, platforms, stages, television, microphones, and ministry connections and networking is as addicting as crack cocaine. The pursuit of "art ministry" is the premier cover up of a dysfunctional ministry, and personal life.
The pursuit of "art ministry" allows many to hide their sins and addictions because they measure their success in God based on the open doors they have been given and not on their character and integrity or even if their own church family, personal family loves and friends appreciates them.
God is way more interested in changing us on the inside character than using us on the outside ministry. Before we minister to others we need to minister our self.
Our agreement with this statement can only be found in whether we value the intercession and prayer room more than a platform. If we are day dreaming of dancing, singing, acting, playing instruments or speaking before the masses instead of a life of devotion with Jesus, our priorities are skewed and we are more than likely consumed with an addiction to art ministry. If you count on the audience reaction to see how good you perform or minister, then you are addicting to artistic ministry
It's time for a generation of art ministers and future creative ministers to actually have character that matches the anointing upon their lives. 80% don't have an anointing on their lives. Why? Because they don't have a prayer life, They don't pickup the Bible or read it, fast, and they don't spend time with God in their talent and gift. For all the major addictions spiritual or natural being addressed in the Church today, why is being addicted to ministry never discussed or even exposed?
He wants to know if we are praying, fasting, reading the Word of God, Feeding the homeless, Bringing the loss to know God, Saving lives, A soul winner etc.
