Meet the Black African Queens Who Paved the Way for Nonconformist Liturgical Dance Today.

What we recognize as Dance Ministry today was shaped in the 1900s, as Black dancers found creative ways to merge everything from stomping and hymns to spiritual dances with traditional African steps. You can see famous Black dancers' socialization and lifestyles simply by observing how they moved.

Christian Ministering Arts has undoubtedly handled the world's entertainment needs for centuries. Dance Ministry is an art form that has evolved by leaps and bounds and is popular in most cultures worldwide. Some of these incredibly talented individuals have inspired many young aspirants to pursue gospel dance as a career.

For instance, Master Minister Danyel Hill impacted her community through dance. Danyel even braved challenges like racism to pursue her passion for dance and business. Minister of Movement Danyel Hill resides in Carrollton, GA. Danyel has been Married for 17 years to Kareem Hill. She is a Mother to 4 children and grandmother to 1 grandchild. She is a Member of True-Life Church in Villa Rica, GA, and a Coordinator and leader of the Spirit and Truth Dance ministry. Danyel is the Dance director, Dance Affections & Company founder, and Vessels of Honor sisters Dance ministry overseer. She graduated from the Eagles International Training Institute as an ordained and licensed dance minister in 2019 under the leadership of Apostle Pamela Hardy. She also graduated from the EITI Choregeo Dance Leaders course in 2021. Her duties included serving as TEN Georgia West Site Leader and Teacher from 2021.

She is the founder and owner of the first Liturgical dance school and retail store Dance Affections and Company, where she trains, equips, and educates those called to the dance ministry, from youth to adult dancers. Dance Affections is also a traveling ministry throughout the United States, ministering God's word through dance movement. In 2017, God gave Danyel a vision to host an annual praise dance and mime production, which is ongoing each year in December.

Dance Ministry Magazine awarded the 2018 Danyel Dance Art Trepreneurship of the Year. In 2022, Danyel was awarded Dance Company and Teacher of the Year from Conquering the Waves Awards. This year, she received the Platinum Dance Service Award at Iconique and Legends Awards in Carrollton, Georgia.

Minister Danyel is always looking forward to assisting all involved in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through movement ministry. Her main passion is to teach the word of God through the movement to become an atmosphere shifter so that wherever you go, you will bring the environment of heaven with you through dance movement.
